Robin began his full-time obsession in 2002 and is a practitioner of Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture having attained degrees from both the UK and China. Robin is registered and insured with the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians and the British Acupuncture Federation, as well as the local councils in each of his branches.
Robin volunteered for the Fountain Centre since 2008, a charity which offers complementary therapies to cancer patients and their carers based in the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford. Robin has also participated in various research studies including chronic pain in cancer patients, dry mouth following radiotherapy in head and neck cancers, correcting shoulder dysfunction in post-surgery oesophageal cancer patients, and relieving hot flushes associated with both prostate cancer and breast cancer. Robin thrives on continuing his studies to refine his treatment strategies to adapt to the individuality of his patient’s needs.
Robin has the experience to know when Chinese medicine can help, and when another therapy will support treatment or provide a faster solution.

My wife and I had been trying to conceive for years and we always assumed the timing wasn't right until I tested my semen and found out I had an extremely low sperm count and poor morphology. I started taking all the supplements you can imagine for 6 months which only mildly improved my profile. We needed something else which is when we found Robin - he gave me herbs to drink and a few lifestyle pointers. Just over 3 month's later I was feeling better than I've done in years and my wife got pregnant and went on to deliver our little princess.

My back is pretty much pain free now and I am starting some careful exercise to strengthen it and start getting back into shape. I had a weak & painful back, after my 3rd treatment from Robin the pain had totally gone ! I had one more treatment and never had the pain come back....it's amazing!! I would really recommend acupuncture to anyone!!!

On my G.P.’s recommendation, I sought acupuncture regarding a significant increase of migraines in frequency (up to 10 per month), intensity and duration. I was apprehensive about this treatment, not least because I suffer from blood and needle-phobia. Robin soon allayed my fears and concerns, however.
I have always felt respected and heard, and Robin is very clear (and patient!) in responding to my many questions and comments. I particularly appreciate the fact that we work as a team together, rather than me ‘being done to’…

I used to suffer up to 4 migraines a week and was taking Sumatriptan several times per week but the situation was just getting worse and worse. I came to Robin in 2009 having been diagnosed with breast cancer I went on to suffer severely with side effects from the chemotherapy and Tamoxifen. The fatigue was also so bad I was barely able to leave the bed for two months, I couldn't even undertake simple tasks like having a bath without feeling stressed and exhausted. Within three months of seeing Robin and making some dietary changes I went from feeling the worst I had ever felt to feeling better than I had in years. I felt so good I even took up running which I couldn't have even imagined before and returned to enjoy a full and happy life. Robin was always extremely professional and kind and he put me at ease immediately. It was such a relief to finally find someone who understood how to complement my conventional treatment.
