Robin has been dedicated to the practice of Chinese medicine since 2002, completing a five-year full-time joint degree in the UK and China in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He is fully registered and insured with the British Acupuncture Council and the relevant local authorities across his clinic locations.
Alongside his clinical work, Robin volunteered for 13 years with the Fountain Centre at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, supporting cancer patients and their carers acupuncture treating hot flushes, pain, insomnia, nausea and vomiting. He has also contributed and lead a range of research projects, including chronic cancer-related pain, radiotherapy-induced dry mouth, post-surgical shoulder dysfunction in oesophageal cancer patients, and the management of hot flushes associated with both prostate and breast cancer treatments.

My wife and I had been trying to conceive for years and we always assumed the timing wasn't right until I tested my semen and found out I had an extremely low sperm count and poor morphology. I started taking all the supplements you can imagine for 6 months which only mildly improved my profile. We needed something else which is when we found Robin - he gave me herbs to drink and a few lifestyle pointers. On my G.P.’s recommendation, I sought acupuncture regarding a significant increase of migraines in frequency (up to 10 per month), intensity and duration. I was apprehensive about this treatment, not least because I suffer from blood and needle-phobia. Robin soon allayed my fears and concerns, however.
I have always felt respected and heard, and Robin is very clear (and patient!) in responding to my many questions and comments. I particularly appreciate the fact that we work as a team together, rather than me ‘being done to’…

I used to suffer up to 4 migraines a week and was taking Sumatriptan several times per week but the situation was just getting worse and worse. I came to Robin in 2009 having been diagnosed with breast cancer I went on to suffer severely with side effects from the chemotherapy and Tamoxifen. The fatigue was also so bad I was barely able to leave the bed for two months, I couldn't even undertake simple tasks like having a bath without feeling stressed and exhausted. Within three months of seeing Robin and making some dietary changes I went from feeling the worst I had ever felt to feeling better than I had in years. I felt so good I even took up running which I couldn't have even imagined before and returned to enjoy a full and happy life.
